Worried that he would be turned in, Jean Valjean took the Bishop's silver and fled. In the morning, he was captured and taken to the Bishop, claiming that he gave it to him. The Bishop said yes and gave him 2 more silver cadlesticks. Transformed by this, Jean Valjean went Montreiul-sur-mur. Here he became mayor. What heppens next? You will have to read the book. | |
