Backpack Express--January 15, 2020

From Our School Nurse Teacher, Mrs. Flores

There is starting to be an increase in the number of illnesses in our school and community.  We are starting to see students with flu like systems, gastrointestinal issues, and strep throat.  Mrs. Flores has put together a parent letter informing you of the various illnesses going around and what to do to ease the spread of these illnesses.  Please take the time to read her letter, which may be found here.

Other Bits of Information

  • Pajama Program:  Part of our ELA curriculum in grade three has student learning about how children around the world access books  in their countries, communities, villages, etc. Closer to home, there are children who do not have easy access to books either.  As a school, we will be collecting new books and pajamas for a Rhode Island organization called the Pajama Project. Information on this organization and how you can contribute may be found here.

  • Community Notice:  There is one community notice for you about lacrosse.  You may click here for information about that.

  • PTOffice:  If you have not signed up for PTOffice, you should do so today.  Registration for various PTO programs will only be accepted on this site.  Once you request access to this site, the PTO has to approve you which could take up to 48 hours.  Information may be found here.
