COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS AVAILABLE TO FAMILIES

Newsletters - The primary communication system from the schools. The newsletter will be delivered to all families through Email. This communication will include all important information that you need to know, along with related documents. At the K-5 level, the newsletters will be delivered to you on a weekly basis. At the 6-12 level, the newsletters will be delivered twice a month. 

What do families need to do to receive?

Superintendent’s Messages – Important information that will be emailed to you.

Remind – One way communication system that allows you to receive a text message with urgent information or reminders from the principal or teacher. 

What do families need to do to receive?
Sign up using the code provided by the principal or teacher. Please note that you can determine how you want to receive the text, regular text message, remind app notification, or email. You do not need to receive all three, select what works best for you.

Facebook­ – All schools, the District, and Middle/High School Counseling (guidance) have Facebook pages that you can follow. This an optional communication system where we highlight events and celebrate teaching and learning. High School Counseling includes the dates for college admission visits, as well.

Twitter ­– All schools, the District, and High School Counseling (guidance), and some teachers have Twitter accounts that you can follow. This an optional communication system where we highlight events and celebrate teaching and learning.

School Committee Briefs – Newsletters that summarize the school committee meetings.

Barrington Bulletin – A District Level, monthly newsletter that celebrates teaching and learning.

Phone Calls/Email – Families are always welcome to contact schools and administrators by phone. Our teaching staff do not have access to telephones in their classrooms, but will return calls from families. All administrators, teachers, and staff have Barrington issued emails for communication as well. 

What do families need to do to access?
To email a member of the Barrington Public Schools use the following format:
lastnamefirstinitial@barringtonschools.org. Each school web page, also has the staff email list available under the staff tab at the top of the home page.

PTO Communications - My School Anywhere – The district PTOs subscribe to a family and faculty directory for PTO communications via email, volunteering efforts, and more. Families only need to register their children one time. As they move up to other schools in the district, entries will travel with them to those schools' accounts. 

What do families need to do to receive?
