Sweetheart Dance: Sowams PTO invites you to Light Up The Night at the Sowams Sweetheart Dance on May 17th at Barrington Middle School from 6-8pm. This year's theme is Neon Glow and we will transform under black lights to make you glow! Be creative with attire; dress up or down wearing your favorite white and/or neon colors to shine together! We’ll have a DJ, activity/game stations, and a photo booth to bring the fun. Advanced tickets and RSVP required for $5 per person (Student + Adult = $10). Capacity is limited. Please RSVP at Sowams Dance RSVP link (click here). For additional purchase on-site there will be food trucks (Pams Grill and Kona Ice) and a portrait photo station. Hope to see you there! PTO/Arts Alive Play: Rehearsals start next week for the second and third graders in the play. Parent volunteers are needed to assist at the rehearsals. If you have a background check on file with the district and you are able to volunteer, you may sign up here.
Yearbook: It’s that time of year for the yearbook. There are two different bits of information about the yearbook:
Yearbook Sales: The yearbook is now available for purchase. Orders are accepted online at coffeepond.com. The cost of this year’s yearbook is $23.00. Directions on how to order may be found here.
Yearbook Boosters: Want to congratulate your child on a successful year? Want to thank a special adult at Sowams? The boosters are the way to do it. Boosters are on sale now through April 5, 2024. Information about the boosters may be found here.
BMS Fundraiser: The Barrington Middle School is having a spaghetti dinner fundraiser on April 5, 2024. More information about this may be found here.
Nayatt 5K: This fun event is coming up. April 6, 2024, is the date for this year’s Nayatt 5K. Information about the 5K and registration may be found here.
No School: A reminder, there is no school on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, in celebration of Eid Al-Fitr, the celebration of the end of Ramadan.

Sowams at Blithewold: Save the Date: The Sowams PTO is happy to sponsor a morning at Blithewold on April 28, 2024, at 10:30 in the morning. A special group rate and information on signing up may be found here. The link to sign up will be shared at another time.
Calendar: The PTO has created an April calendar that you can access here.
Safe Stop: Ever wonder where your child’s bus is? Now, you can access that information on your phone. Safe Stop allows you to see where the bus is. Information on how to use Safe Stop may be found here.
