Hello HMS Family and Friends!  As we head into the third and final trimester, we know that it is typically the busiest time of the school year.  In the coming weeks, you will be hearing more about assessments, transitions, and the return of many end of the year traditions that have been placed on hold for a couple of years.  We have begun to see more volunteers in the building and larger group events happening.  Remember, it is never too late to become involved at HMS.  This is also a great time of year to reset some of our expectations and routines.  For students, we will continue to talk about respect for ourselves, others, the environment, and learning, and one of the focuses will be on lunchtime behaviors.  Although students will continue to eat in their classrooms, we want to begin to introduce to them what it sounds and looks like to have quiet conversations while eating.  I will also be addressing morning drop-off procedures next week that will hopefully improve the tardiness issue.  Have a wonderful weekend!
