Dear Families,
After consulting with the most recent guidelines provided by the State concerning best practices around preventing the spread of COVID-19, we are postponing tonight's Girls' Puberty Night at Hampden Meadows, PTO Bingo night at Sowams, and Art's Night at Primrose. This evening, Barrington Public Schools will engage in a statewide conference call updating us on the best practices for PK-12 Schools in Rhode Island. After the conference call, we will send out a more formal communication about events occurring throughout our District over the next few weeks. If Barrington receives additional information during the conference call, we will share that with you as well on our dedicated page:

GIRLS NIGHT INFO- We understand that there are concerns about COVID-19. At this time, the RIDOH is recommending that people practice caution when meeting in groups—that they do not attend if sick—and that they avoid shaking hands or hugging. They have not yet recommended cancelling events. In light of that, we plan to hold the Girls Puberty Night this Wednesday, March 11, from 6:15-7:30. If you or your child feels ill, we ask that you please stay home.
If you are uncomfortable attending a public event due to other factors, you are encouraged to check out The Care and Keeping if You, Volume 1, and attend next year when Dr. Douglas returns for her 9th Puberty Night!
If there are updates to the RIDOH recommendations, we will notify you ASAP—so please check our website before coming out Wednesday night.
